Parameters of judging coaching

We have been reviewing coachings since long and parameters of these reviews have changed with times. Our most common and read research topic has been  best ias coachings in delhi , I have written and published research from argasia education Pvt ltd Since years on various platforms like Indian express , The Hindu , blog.oureducation.in , bestcoaching.app , Instituterank.com . Recently We have also started experiencing that students understand that How and why its important to ask coachings about batch size in class.

Large batch size of about 500 students in a class, creates fear amongst students , although students do not speak against it but in the due process they loose interest in learning as well. In our early stages of ranking and reviewing coachings , our first parameter used to be Result.

Why Result is not a perfect parameter to review a coaching ?

If you will see advertisements in news paper after result , you will find that different coahings have claimed result of one student. Why so,

In Success of a student, Contribution is not just of one person or a coaching. Coaching or teachers Who taught during prelims have even contributed , while the book store from where notes or photo copy materials were bought had even contributed in success. The tea vendor at Old Rajendra Nagar or Karolbagh or Mukherjee Nagar even contributed to knowledge of several IAS officers of today. Go and Ask them. Many bureaucrats will even agree.

Teacher who taught in optional even contributed and Those test papers which were taken free from Telegram channels or videos watched at StudiQ even contributed.

What are our parameters of reviewing a coachings

a. Quality of faculty : you need to know educational back ground of teachers , not just experience of teaching in industry. Many who are teaching here are teaching because they know one aspect , class is being given to some one who does not Know. So most of classes are time passed on name of motivational sessions during class. A teacher who has himself studied from good educational institutes or have proven record in that segment will know what is to be taught or What is actual need of a student.

In classes of many experienced teachers , you will only find motivation not content. Please identify that on your own.

b. Batch Size : Students and Guardians get fascinated with large batch size or big names with large advertisements in news papers. We suggest to check batch size because in large batch size class , it becomes difficult for a student to ask in class. it creates fear in mind of student , What my classmates will feel ? Is my question right ?

Once these questions appearing in mind of student , He or she stops asking Questions in class and slowly they loose interest in class. IN a class with large batch size students have fear from very beginning and worst part is that they do not speak about it.

c. Means of communication: How is class being delivered and what about after delivery. In after pandemic era , technology is also taking front seat in quality of delivery. Online , offline , Hybrid.

Are classes available for students after class ?

If Yes , For How Long ?

How many times a student can watch ?

Most will will Say No

Few Will Say Yes

Ask them till When and How many times , it can be watched?

Only one or two will Say that , Students can watch it for entire period of course and as many times as they want to watch. ( Keep a note of them )

d. Quality of notes: Most of good coachings provide notes or have arrangement with good publication houses for notes. online notes for UPSC And learning also need to come from several books and notes.

Factors that Determine your Success
As it’s one of the country’s top-notch qualifying exam, an aspirant must be equally focussed, determined and have the right guidance to crack it. While the first two qualities are within oneself, the last one, “guidance” can be attained only with the help of experienced and skilled teachers. This is where the role of IAS Coaching Institutes comes into play.

Firstly, I would like to appreciate your efforts on giving a thought about preparing for the UPSC examinations.
There are numerous coaching centres, around the country, to train you for this 'Mother of all examinations in the country'. And as it is true, the coaching centres at Delhi get the highest hits with this regard. That is mainly because they are quite well experienced with the syllabus and so then know what to teach you. But let me also tell you that attending classes at a coaching centre would be nothing more than the lectures you heard while at school. What they teach you is definitely necessary, for you to know as far as the exam is concerned, but you cannot be thought all of it. You as an aspirant should consider the coaching only as a foundation course based on which you can develop your strategy for the preparations. You will also have to let yourself know that there would be nothing less than a hundred students in the class with you and you might as well get distracted to a certain extent, apart from the money you would spending on the coaching, study materials, accommodation
