Engineering education

There was a time when people used to say “Engineering is saxzax”. It was perceived to be one of the renowned career field. It is rewoned nowadays but lost somewhat it’s lime light because of the heavy flow of the plutocrat towards it. No doubt if someone really wants to be an engineer then nothing matters, he/she will be able to pave it if have an interest.
Some time back when this field was only satisfied to few government colleges and the selection procedure was purely dependent upon strict competition. It was a lavicious field because the government body doesn’t wanted to earn economic wealth instead they wanted quality engineer who poke successive development in nation socio as well economic growth.
But since government deal with private bodies and let it to put step in this field, the number of engineering colleges went on increasing day by day which made quantity engineer nor quality. People of feeling being a real engineer is still around are but more than that people pursue others to join engineering field either by our self or forcedly by parents. It is good that now anyone with minimum criteria can take admission in engineering profession because several engineering colleges (private) are there because there are several dignities around us who have a power to show triumph in engineering field but they can’t take part because they are sort of some criteria defined.
Even though private engineering college provide more facilities, discipline, professional behavior, availability or facilities & services easily but on heavy paid basis. If as private take all this thing as required then it adds in its good career way, but if it take it was luxurious and start enjoying, if then it it may make his/her career turbid. Improvement of private college is needed due to the sudden yanked demand of engineer, so we can’t say that few government colleges like past is sufficient enough. But the need is to flame a feeling with zest those plutocratic businessman who run the engineering college that we want to earn money of course but producing a quality engineer is also important along with it.
Nowadays, placements have also become a one of the very important issue in every engineering college whether it is private or government colleges which are needed to be taken into consideration .Many companies today are looking for quality engineers not quantity engineers. So, the main motive of these engineering colleges should be to produce quality engineers. Proper training and education must be delivered to every student so that they can get good companies at the beginning only. India is on a rise of producing more and more engineers but the focus still remain on the fact that these engineers need to be efficient and effective.

Engineering Education : An article

Albert Einstein, the famous physician once said that "Scientists investigate that which already is; Engineers create that which has never been." And that is very true if we talk about the present scenario of education. Today Engineering is amongst the few professions where creativity and imagination has no boundations. Any act of yours, bringing small change to the society, would surely bring a sense of satisfaction and feeling of pride and joy. Therefore if a person  is expecting for a challenging opportunities and a bright career, then, Engineering is the most ideal profession for him.  For example, being an aerospace engineer we have the chance of developing cryogenics technology needed for the country to make advances in the space research, or being an electronics engineer one has a chance to develop new technology in VLSI design , Chip design etc. The list is endless.

Well to be very specific, engineeringeducation is the procedure of teaching knowledge and principles related to the professional practice of engineering. It also includes the initial education for becoming a good engineer. Engineering education is typically accompanied by additional examinations and supervised training as the requirements for a professional engineering license.
The Engineering trends are changing day by day and because of that strategies used by engineering hubs are also changing. The methodology used today is more advanced and secured. But one question always arises in our mind while choosing engineering as a higher education option, “will it provide better career? Whether there will be growth option and the most important what is the importance of it?” The answer to all the above is as follows:
Today engineering is not just a profession it has become a culture because the aim of engineer is not only to minimize loss but also by using adequate resources get the task done. Today Engineers have enter to every field whether it be their core, management, society upliftment, biomedical and any of the stream which one can think off. In short today today Engineers serves as calcium of society.  It continuously strengthens our pre-existing knowledge of design and, as calcium ensures healthy bones and teeth, engineering ensures a healthy and sustainable environment for humankind.
But to take engineering as education option one should be very selective in choosing the right one. With so many colleges offering your desired course, it becomes very difficult for one to select one college over the other. However, there are certain things that one should find out before deciding which college you should take admission in. These parameters are-:

Faculty: One of the most important things that one should check is the faculty of the institute. A lot of your success depends on the teachers and how well do they train us. Finding out the number of full time and part time faculty members, student to teacher ratio, background and qualification of the teachers.
Research & Development: The kind of research the institute is conducting and the kind of research papers the faculty is churning out also gives an idea about the institute.
Curriculum: It is important for us to check if the curriculum of the institute is updated and in sync with latest market trends. Also checking if the college is a deemed university, how many electives are included, when was the last time the curriculum was updated. If the college has a deemed university status, the engineering college gets the flexibility to alter the curriculum and not necessarily subscribe to the university to which they are affiliated.
Alumni: Alumni are a true reflection of an institute and their performance gives us an idea about the quality of the college. If the alumni are placed at high positions with good companies or are pursuing higher studies, it means that a large number of students of the institute are going to do well in their respective careers a few years down the road. And that always is the plus point.
Placements: The most important thing to check is placements. But one must do a reality check and find out how the institute score on placement front. Don’t go by what the institute is saying via its prospectus but do a thorough investigation. Find out which companies come during placements, how many companies come, what is the annual salary package, are research assistants also hired from the college, etc.
Reputation: Checking the rankings of the institute, its reputation, the position of students of the college in inter college competitions, check latest news reports on the college, exchange programs with foreign universities, etc. finding such things will help us to judge an institute.
Thus engineering education provide a good career in India  and World and better future if a good college is being selected and engineering is done with good dedication.
