Best engineering colleges of Kerala

These days majority of students who opt for science in their senior secondary classes have engineering as an option after school and keeping in                           mind the present scenario we can easily make our minds that there has been a great development in d field of education, especially in the area of engineering education. According to a report by All-India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) there were 2,297 engineering colleges with a total student intake capacity of 8.19 lakh students in India in 2008.A major proportion of the engineering graduates come from south india, and as a result Five Indian states-Tamil Nadu, Andhra Pradesh, Maharashtra, Karnataka and Kerala-account for almost 69% of the country's engineering graduates, indicating that these states also have most of India's engineering colleges.
There has been a great focus on education in kerela since the ancient times as there were many sabha mathams which imparted vedic knowledge and the kalaharis which taught d most ancient and sacred form of martial arts in India. The state by the grace of god was always in light of the day and never went through any dark phases let it be general education or the higher education which was also promoted in the pre independence era when Catholic and Christian missionaries who were keen on providing education to all sections of society and strengthening of women, without any kind of discrimination continued on with there efforts even after the britishers left the country. Kerala school of astronomy and mathematics was founded by Madhava of Sangamagrama in KeralaTheir most important results—series expansion for trigonometric functions—were described in Sanskrit verse in a book by Neelakanta called Tantrasangraha, and again in a commentary on this work, called Tantrasangraha-vakhya, of unknown authorship. This is very much relevant to show and experience the glory that this country has seen come its door and judging by the status of the present education scenario it has been a commendable job.
There are a large no of  parameters to judge any education system right from its roots to its highest achievement but there there are certain attributes which top the priority list and can also be considered to be the most important attributes to the success of an institution.the parameters are

In spite of the large number of educational institutions in the state, the quality of education at all levels in Kerala has been showing a decline due to financial constraints resulting from quantitative expansion of the sector.
A study published in 1999 by the Centre for Socio-economic & Environmental Studies states that while the drop out rates are very low in primary schools, the same increases in the ninth and the tenth standards in Kerala. This is particularly true about SC/ST students. schools showed that only 73 per cent of the students joining Standard I reach the tenth Standard . In the case of scheduled caste students, only 59 per cent reach the tenth standard. Sixty per cent of the scheduled tribe students drop out by the tenth standard.
Another major indicator of the inefficiency of Kerala's school education system is the large scale failure of the students in the matriculation examination. Only about 50% of the students who appear for the examination get through in spite of liberal valuation and provision of grace marks. But at present the percentage of result has been considerably increased because of major interventions by the government in the areas of curriculum and teacher training. In March 2011, 91.37% students qualified for higher studies in the matriculation Examination.
