Engineering education in New delhi

A world renowned philosopher once said:

"Its is better to Enlighten the candle then to curse the darkness"

It means lamp of education should be lighten up in order to triumph over the evils like “Ignorance, Poverty, Illiteracy & Unemployment”.

Hence, If we have a look towards the contemporary scenario we’ll find that the most of the young crowds after their High School are leaning towards the Engineering slots. So now, coming to the fact “Engineering Education in New Delhi” directly, I would like to make the scenario more easy to understand by illustrating by own life’s example.

After clearing my High School with distinction I stepped into a new world of possibilities where I was having so much of options to choose that whether I should be going for Engineering or Medical or NDA & then I finally decided for Engineering field and applied for all the Entrance Exams going through that days.

I considered that career in Engineering will be leading me towards the bright future and proved to be a Corner Stone in my professional life.

Being a Delhite, I preferred not to leave Delhi as I love the fast pace rocking life of this lively city. But putting all my temptations and desires at stake I opted for a college named I.E.T in Alwar (a district in Rajasthan).Hence this college is holding my dreams tight and aspiring me to become a good professional guy.

Today, the day has come of which every engineer has dreamed of -- “Placement”
And hence Mr. Tusshar Kumar – Marketing Head from RUVA Customer Services is there to pick us up and prove to be as corner stone of our career.

Talking about the Engineering Education in Delhi, the renowned names that echoes through everybody’s ear are IIT Delhi, DCE (Delhi College of Engineering), NSIT, Delhi Technological University, Bharti Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering, Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, amity School of Engineering & Technology e.t.c.

Being a capital city of India, Delhi has always been a prime concern for students, parents as well as for recruiters from different companies to try their hands for the cream.Hence in  the following lines we’ll be discussing the scope of Engineering Education in Delhi in various Engineering Colleges on the following parameters like :

=>    Infrastructure.
=>    Fee Structure.
=>    Faculty.
=>    Placement.
=>    Research.

INFRASTRUCTURE

Coming to the 1st point, “ INFRASTRUCTURE” only three names echoes in the ear are IIT Delhi, DCE and Amity School Of Engineering & Technology. IIT-D & DCE are the government institutes and Amity is the privately owned institute. They are spread over the 100’s of acres land. The buildings are so beautifully designed. By Seeing them a realization run through our minds that apart from feminine figures there are some other beautiful figures also.

These campuses are so beautifully designed in terms of  buildings, gardens, roads, sanitary areas e.t.c.These areas are declared to be as smoke or tobacco free zone & hence kind of pollution free too.

FEE STRUCTURE

Talking about 2nd parameter i.e “FEE STRUCTURE” the fewer names draw their attention like IIT Delhi, Delhi Technological University, Netaji Subhash Institute of Technology (NSIT), DCE (Delhi College of Engineering).

As, these colleges are government run institutions so the fee structure is not that much high very nominal charges are taken from the students for their studies as Indian Government believes that “young aspiring minds are the bright future of our country and hence education should be provided at very less charges to an extent possible.”

The colleges like Bharti Vidyapeeth's College of Engineering, Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, and Amity School of Engineering & Technology are also nice shots but when it comes to Fee Structure they lie down as they are privately owned Institutions & hence they are bid at the higher prices. For them the Education is business.

Directly not getting into the exact figures the above mentioned lines goes hand to hand.

“FACULTY”

In Sanskrit we have a saying “Guru Sarvopari” that means the place of a teacher is superior to every other relation in this world. Hence, Taking colleges from the “FACULTY” point of view the various colleges have various opinions. But, the most preferable suggestion would be colleges having most experienced and high ranked faculty should be the real option. The Institutes like IIT-D and DCE are having the finest core faculties as per the survey done by India Today magazine.

PLACEMENT

In terms of placement every college is best at its way. But the main names echoes are the following:

=>    IIT-D
=>    DCE
=>    NSIT

The highly esteemed companies start their recruitment process from the above mentioned colleges as to get the creamy layer for their vacancies. It is the day for which every Engineer prepares himself same as I did.

RESEARCH

There are various researches going on in each institute and highly ranked colleges like:

=>    IIT-D
=>    DCE
=>    NSIT

They are ranked on the top for the “Research & Development Field”. Many projects are hired from these colleges by the company itself as the output yield from these prestigious institutes is no doubt valuable and precious.

So, with this I would like to summon up this article with John F. Kennedy (35th President of U.S.A) statement that:

“Let us think of education as the means of developing our greatest abilities, because in each of us there is always a hope and dream which when once fulfilled can be translated into benefit for everyone and greater strength for our nation”
